My name is Gregory Croomes and I am the principal of L'Ouverture Computer Technology Magnet School.  This school year will be my 14th in USD 259.  I received my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Wichita State University and I received my Masters in Educational Administration and Supervision from WSU as well.  I taught 4th grade at Hyde International Studies and Communication Magnet for 5 years.  I spent one year at Jefferson Elementary as a building level resource teacher.  The next school year, I became an assistant principal at Kelly Elementary.  After leaving Kelly, I was named principal at Cleaveland Traditional Magnet. The 2008-2009 school year will be my first at L'Ouverture Computer Technology Magnet.  I am extremely honored and excited to be at a building with such a rich history and a reputation for excellence and success.

     My wife Michelle and I have been married for over 11 years.  I have two children at home and one in college.  My daughter Chelsea attend Virginia State University.  My son Cole will be starting 6th grade at Allison Traditional Magnet.  My youngest son, Caden, is a pre-schooler.

     I have several recreational pursuits with fishing being at the top of the list.  I enjoy fishing for all types of fish, but bass fishing is my favorite.  Additionally, I coach my son's basketball team.

     I sincerely look forward to collaborating with parents and staff in an effort to continue to increase student achievement at L'Ouverture Comptuer Technology Magnet.
